Save the date: from May 7th to 24th, Lisbon will host the 15th edition of the “Festival Internacional de Marionetas e Formas Animadas”. The FIMFA, after such a long time, is now one of the most important international meetings when it comes to the “teatro de marionetas”. In particular, one of the goals of this cultural exhibition, is to emphasize and stress the strict relationship that marionettes have with other artistic fields, as dance, visual arts, theatre (of course) and music.
During these 18 days Lisbon will literally be the stage of marionettes, with 16 companies and creators coming from several countries as Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, France, United Kingdom and Portugal. A total of 50 representations will take place, ranging from closed to open air.
