Lisbon

On Thursday, January the 12th, teacher Beatriz will give us the chance to discover the spectacular architecture and history of some of the most famous churches from the Middle Age to the Baroque period. At the mean time we will have the occasion to admire three of the best Miradouros of our city: Miradouro de Santa Luzia, Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, Miradouro da Santa Catarina.

This could be an extraordinary occasion to approach the Portuguese culture having, at the same time, the chance to improve your language knowledge and to socialize with the other students of our school.

Yesterday we went around Lisbon visiting some of the most famous churches and stopping to have a complete view of the city from some of the best Miradouros.

We started at Sé Catedral de Lisboa, where teacher Beatriz told us the history of the most important church of Lisbon and then we continue our tour to the Igreja de Santo António and the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, from where you have an amazing view of Rio Tejo.

Then we walked all together until Chiado to visit the Basílica dos Mártires, passing by the Igreja de São Roque, listening to the architectural history from the words of teacher Beatriz.

We had also the time to taste the typical Pasteis de Nata at the Manteigaria and to enjoy some time together, drinking a glass of wine and admiring the beautiful Lisbon from the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcantara.

We hope you enjoyed the tour and that you had the chance to improve your Portuguese!
