Lisbon Tour and a Chat Over Hot Chocolate
Last week we had the last Lisbon tour of the year for our School, and once again what an enjoyable and informative tour it was, with our guide Beatriz. It was great to see both new and familiar faces, join us!
A bit of rain in the beginning didn’t dampen their mood! Beatriz engaged the attendees with quizzes, and they had the opportunity to ask many questions. The topic also flowed into talk about Kings and Queens of Portugal.
As always, the tour was followed by a nice casual chat over some drinks. Last week it was Ginjinha, and yesterday is was hot chocolate! – so fitting, considering the weather these days, não é?
Our tours are in both in European Portuguese and English, giving you the opportunity to practise your listening and understanding skills with fellow peers, outside the classroom, and on interesting topics on Portuguese culture. It’s also a chance to meet people from other classes and different levels. If you are considering a move to Lisbon, you could ask someone about accommodation, what it is like living in Lisbon as some are expatriates, or you may just be visiting Lisbon and wanting to meet some like-minded people who enjoy learning languages as much as you do.
You’re not the type to go out partying? Well, this is a nice casual way to make friends, learn something new about our country, ask questions, and perhaps even discover some new places in the city, all at once.
Next Wednesday we will have our School Christmas Party, in place of our weekly tour. We’ll show you como festejamos (how we celebrate!) at Português Et Cetera 😉
The details for the party have been sent out, so if you have subscribed to our newsletters, check your emails!
